Above the Bay is situated overlooking Bowness Bay and Lake Windermere. All rooms are en-suite with lake views and have a private patio door entrance. The patio doors lead onto a west facing balcony with magnificent views and all rooms have sun recliners. This balcony is what we believe gives Above the Bay its own special WOW factor! Bowness village is a 3 min stroll away via a short cut down through the front garden. Full English breakfast is included and vegetarians and special diets are most welcome. Our spacious car park provides safe off road parking and most local facilities are within walking distance. Our guests also get free entrance to the private Burnside Leisure Centre just 200 metres away where they can enjoy swimming sauna steam room sun beds pool table and bistro bar. Directions to Above the Bay
From junction 36 on M6. take the A591 for Windermere South Lakes. Continue approx 8 miles to a roundabout and take 1st left B5284 - to 'Crook '- 'Ferry ' and 'Hawkshead'. Continue on this country lane for approx 8 miles and at T junction turn right onA5074 - to Windermere. This is Kendal Road and after approx 12 mile you will reach 'Brackenfield' on the right. Follow Brackenfield around to the left and we are at the top of the cul - sac.
